11/12/2023 FAULT: We are aware of a fault that has developed with the wind sensor not reading any wind speeds. However it is recording direction. This fault is planned for rectifcation on Thursday as the mast needs to come down for inspection. We appologise for any inconvinience and this will be sorted as soon as its safe to do so. High windspeeds dont allow for safe access to lower the mast for inspection. For the time being, We are using wind speed data from the Liverpool John Lennon Airport EGGP Metar. which is updated twice a hour.

Facts and figures about the weather
Fact 19 - 2010 Driest start for more than 80 years
The UK has had the driest first six months of any year since 1929. As June ends with below average rainfall, official figures released today show that January to June had average rainfall of 356.8 mm, making this period the second driest for 100 years. 1929 had the driest first six months of a year, when 275.7 mm of rain was recorded. The drier conditions have been caused by a lack of Atlantic weather systems, which usually cross the UK bringing bands of rain, especially to western regions.
